We believe in a traditional approach to learning fundamentals based on a challenging and productive learning environment where students are motivated by high expectations.
We believe in a challenging core curriculum along with religious activities, fine and performing arts, physical education, a foreign language and computer technology.
The Archdiocese of Denver, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School follows an established, academically challenging curriculum. All teachers are routinely and thoroughly trained in the curriculum. To see these standards for each grade level and subject areas, please refer to the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools website under Curricula.
All Sacred Heart of Jesus elementary students are expected to strive to make steady progress toward mastery of the curriculum presented at each grade level. Mastery of the curriculum is a prerequisite for advancing to the next grade level.
As part of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic school system, our goal is to educate the whole child, through formation in Catholic faith within a nurturing community. We expects and supports each individual's best personal performance to our rigorous academic standards. We strive to prepare our students to meet all of life's opportunities and challenges equipped with a strong Catholic foundation, a rich academic background and well-developed analytical skills.
Our pastor, Fr. Mark Kovacik, is committed to leading our parish community through Christ's example while building a clear, common vision of the future of our parish school. Our students are led by dedicated stewards of our Catholic faith supported by the parish community and within an environment of trust and growth.
