The school Mass is celebrated on Thursdays. Each week a different class prepares and writes their own Prayer of the Faithful, picks songs and shares leadership activities. All school masses begin at 8:15. The entire community is invited.
Each Monday the entire school gathers in the gym to pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, a devotion based on the visions of Jesus reported by Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938).
Every Tuesday SHJ parents gather to say the rosary for all community intentions.
On Thursdays, the school Mass is celebrated. Each week a different class has leadership responsibilities: writing their own Prayers of the Faithful, selecting music and songs, and practicing the readings. Our students gain experience in public speaking and group leadership, as well as deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith and the parts of the Mass.
Throughout the year, students participate in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a Living Rosary and Living Stations of the Cross, meditation in Mary's Garden, school-wide Advent and Lent activities, a Christmas program, and a May Crowning.
Prayers are said before each class and at dismissal daily.
May the Lord watch over our students, teachers and parents in their devotions, their studies and their play.
