Tom Mecsey


Tom Mecsey


Mr. Mecsey has both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and has completed graduate courses toward a Master of Arts in Teaching. An experienced administrator and educator in the private school arena, his formal studies have included school culture, leadership styles, teacher evaluation, school law, communication and technology, school improvement, athletic administration and educating special student populations.

Over the course of his more than 30-year career, he has served as a school leader, teacher, advisor, catechist, coach, and athletic administrator, with a successful history at every level of elementary, middle and high school education.

Mr. Mecsey has spent most of his life as an educator in the state of Michigan, where he spent 22 years as a teacher and administrator in the Cranbrook Schools, and nine years as the Head of School at Kingsbury Country Day School. In 2017, he and his wife moved to Colorado to be closer to their children and grandchildren who live in the Denver area.
